Solingen was founded in 1904 by Mr. Dorp and Mr. Voos. From a production
site with forge and hollow grinding for only open straight razors,
Fritz Bracht, who took over the company in 1936, developed a manufacture
of fine cutlery with scissors, nippers and pocket knives. By taking over other brands the range of products was broadened by shaving equipment and the emphasis on high quality manicure sets. To this day the company is independent and family owned by the families Bracht and Kirschbaum, and from the family estate in Solingen, cutlery is still made mainly by hand in the best Solingen tradition to be delivered to specialized cutlery dealers worldwide.
